Paul Wight started off his career as The Giant in WCW, but then he made a new name for himself as The Big Show in WWE. He spent two decades in WWE and took part in numerous storylines before parting ways with the company. He was also a big person as a kid and it appears Wight was arrested when he was 12 for kissing a girl.

Paul Wight eventually decided to take his skills elsewhere and made his way to AEW back in 2021. His departure was a shocker for many, but Wight’s insignificant role in WWE before his exit made fans realize why he decided to leave WWE.

Paul Wight was born in South Carolina in 1972 with acromegaly disease. Due to this, he was already over six feet tall by the time he turned 12 and weighed over 200 pounds. This caused him trouble in real life.

While speaking on The Howard Stern Show, Paul Wight revealed that he was arrested at the age of 12 for kissing a girl as people thought he was much older and a pedophile.

The first girl I ever kissed I got arrested for crying out loud. [You were 12 years old but you looked like a man?] Yeah, I was 6’2”, 220 [lbs], with hair on my chest and here’s a girl in the same class as me, she’s 11, I got a crush on her. I’m at the roller skating ring, I get arrested. The guy asked me for my ID, I don’t even have a library card for crying out loud. I’m 12. I’m in tears in front of all my classmates.

[Did you have a beard?] I had a mustache, little chocolate mustache. This guy treating me like I’m some kind of a pedophile. Yeah, I’m only 12 years old, my first kiss, I’m arrested in the back of a squad car. All my friends in school are standing outside. [Psychologically, you must’ve been going insane.] Traumatized.”

Paul Wight has not competed in a match since March of last year. In fact, Wight also recently stated that he has years left in his pro wrestling career. We will have to wait and see when Wight will be able to compete in AEW once again.
