Natalya has been one of the mainstays of WWE’s women’s division ever since her debut back in 2008. She has gained a proper fanbase due to her hard work and dedication. She finally had a fantastic match against Rhea Ripley on RAW last week and it appears Natalya is determined to face Ripley again at WWE SummerSlam despite repeated losses.
The former Smackdown Women’s Champion challenged for Rhea Ripley’s SmackDown Women’s Title at Night of Champions but lost in just over a minute. This has haunted her every day since then.
This culminated in yet another match between the two on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. Rhea Ripley defended her Women’s Championship against Natalya. While Natalya had the upper hand at first, Rhea Ripley took back charge. Ripley would defeat The Queen Of Harts after a very hard-fought match.
Many fans felt this match rejuvenated Natalya’s career in a big way. While speaking to Bill Apter, Natalya made it clear she wants to square off against Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam despite losing to her in consecutive matches.
“I would love to face off against her (Rhea Ripley) at SummerSlam. That would be incredible. I mean, wherever it is. There’s no place in WWE for me; that’s off-limits.”
Natalya and Rhea Ripley also got huge props from WWE higher-ups after their match on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. We’ll have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for Natalya next, as she proved her mettle.
