Bray Wyatt’s time in WWE has been full of ups and downs. It seems that fans are getting an idea of some plans that were nixed along the way.
During an interview with metro.co.uk, Mike Bennett, who was known as Mike Kanellis during his time in WWE, delved into the evolution of Bray Wyatt’s character, “The Fiend,” in 2019.
“Early on when Bray Wyatt turned into The Fiend, Vince [McMahon] was always high on having Bray lead a group for some reason – he always wanted him to lead a group. We were about a week away from making it happen where me and Eric Young were gonna be part of Bray Wyatt’s group.”
“We were gonna actually be – they were gonna bring to life the puppets. Each puppet was gonna represent an actual person. I don’t remember, there were talks that I was gonna be Sister Abigail and Eric Young was gonna be a buzzard.”
There were some big plans for him in 2019, but that led to a 2020 release. Although he returned in 2022, fans haven’t seen him since the road to WrestleMania. Hopefully, Bray Wyatt will return soon, so he can finish his story, whatever that might be.
Mike Bennett is doing his thing after his WWE release. Although WWE brought Bray Wyatt back, there was apparently much less interest in seeing Bennett, or Maria Kanellis make a return as well.
Only time will tell what is next for Bray Wyatt. You never know if WWE will come full circle with his Wyatt 6 faction. Until he returns, everything could be up in the air.
Bray Wyatt has a ton of fans who would love to see him again. The big question is how WWE will write him back into their weekly stories. Sound off in the comments below if you have any ideas!
