Roman Reigns has established himself as one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. The Tribal Chief has dominated the competition since his return back in 2020. He shows no signs of stopping anytime soon, much to the dismay of many fans. Now it appears he has set an incredible WrestleMania record as well.

Reigns won the Universal Championship at Payback in August 2020, dethroning The Fiend in a triple-threat match that included Braun Strowman. He would then beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 to unify the WWE and Universal Titles.

After crossing 1,000 days as champion, Reigns was presented with a new championship. Of course, Reigns is still determined to break more and more records. The Tribal Chief surpassed 1,042 days as champion. This makes him the longest-reigning champion in WWE history since the creation of WrestleMania in 1985.

This accolade was previously held by WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, whose first reign as WWF Champion lasted 1,474 days. That said, only 1,041 days of that reign were part of the WrestleMania era.

Roman Reigns was also challenged to a match for SummerSlam by Jey Uso this week on Smackdown. We will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book their feud in the coming weeks, as Reigns’ title run sees no end in sight.
