Omos Initially Thought He Was Getting Ribbed with Brock Lesnar WrestleMania Feud

Omos quickly established himself as a formidable opponent for anyone in a WWE ring and he has some surprising supporters as well. His status as a living giant was put to the test at WrestleMania 39, where Omos squared off against Brock Lesnar. Now it appears Omos thought he was getting ribbed when he was informed about his feud with Lesnar at WrestleMania 39.

Fans were immediately appalled when it was made clear that Brock Lesnar would be squaring off against Omos at WrestleMania 39. This is because many fans felt Lesnar deserved a better opponent than someone like Omos.

Nonetheless, WWE had their mind set on the match and it finally took place at the Show of Shows. While Omos tried his best to defeat The Beast Incarnate, Lesnar ended his dreams with a massive F5 for the win.

While speaking with Daily Mail Online, Omos talked about his feud with Brock Lesnar. The Nigerian Nightmare revealed that he was getting ribbed when he was informed about his feud with The Beast Incarnate.

“That whole story is insane (how the match with Lesnar came about). It was the night after Elimination Chamber and we had Raw in Ottawa. I wasn’t on the show and I was going to do what I was supposed to do, drive back to Montreal to fly home. I was going to get a haircut and one of our producers said whatever you do, don’t go anywhere. I was on the show, but not a match, a backstage.

They said it was a backstage with MVP and you guys are going to call out Brock. The moment they said that, I just go blank. “They keep talking and I couldn’t hear a word they said. They asked if I was OK, I said, ‘Yes, did you just say Brock Lesnar?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ I said, ‘No, THE Brock Lesnar? Woah, OK.’ I thought I was getting ribbed. “So I go in and get there early and I see Paul Heyman. I say, ‘Hi.’ He says Brock is coming and I know it’s real. This is happening.”

Following his loss to Brock Lesnar, Omos engaged in a feud with Seth Rollins, which culminated in a match at WWE Backlash. Omos has been absent from WWE television since the match but has been active during WWE live events. We’ll have to see what WWE will have planned for Omos next.
