Andrade El Idolo Defends AEW Collision’s Poor Ratings

Andrade El Idolo came with a lot of expectations for AEW and fans were excited to see what he could accomplish in the company. As it turns out, he didn’t reach the level of success fans wanted him. He already returned to AEW television and defended AEW Collision’s poor ratings.

AEW Collision made its debut back in June as a way to give more focus to those AEW stars who weren’t given much emphasis on AEW television. Fans were excited for the show but the Ratings haven’t really reflected that yet.

The July 1st ratings were concerning, dropping to an average of 452,000 viewers and a 0.13 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic. This was pretty much identical to what AEW Rampage gets.

Andrade El Idolo took to Twitter and responded to a tweet detailing AEW Collision’s poor ratings. The Mexican star defended the show’s poor ratings and made it clear he is happy to wrestle in AEW.

I respect all the talent of all the AEW brands, remember if they respect me, they will always receive my respect. because they all work hard to earn a place. I am AEW collision and I love the looker room, we have only 3 weeks on television and we have achieved in 3 weeks what other brands have in 4 or less years, I love wrestling like all of you and the more competition we have, all this is better for the company, but I would love that the people who were in charge of preparing the first AEW Collision show in Chicago, those people are in charge of doing all the shows week after week.

We have a lot of top talent, you will never imagine ANDRADE THE IDOL VS SAMOE JOE, CM PUNK, FTR, MIRO DAY, SCORPION, THE BULLET, RICKY STARKS, HOBBS, and more talent that I could forget. Thunder Rosa’s comeback will be great imagine her beating up julia hart and getting my mask back and maybe having our own championship that CM PUNK never lost.

AEW Collision’s ratings are actually higher than initially thought. AEW Collision will continue, and it seems that Tony Khan has plans for his new show, so we’ll have to see how the show will improve.
