WWE’s SummerSlam event will go down on August 5th in Detroit’s Ford Field. That will be quite an event for fans, and Superstars also really want on the card.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Logan Paul vs Ricochet is going down at SummerSlam. We were also able to confirm that SummerSlam will also include Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed Universal Championship against Jey Uso. Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar will go down once again. Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch will square off. Also, Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair for the WWE Women’s Championship will go down. GUNTHER vs. Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship is also planned, as well as Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted those matches are going to happen, but there are others planned for the card. That being said, there is a bit of competition backstage within WWE right now to get on the bill.

This doesn’t include Seth Rollins, tag champs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn, U.S. champion Austin Theory or Edge, all of whom would either be almost a sure thing to be on such a big show or would be possibilities.

It could be that matches earmarked for the show could be moved at the last minute to the TV shows either right before or right after the card, as was done with both the women’s titles and the tag team title this past weekend. We were basically told that those bouts are scheduled but there is a lot of competition to get on the show, although most of the aforementioned matches would figure to be locks.

We will have to see what WWE books for SummerSlam. At this time, we know about seven matches, but Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are not a part of the biggest part of the summer just yet.

SummerSlam is a massive event, and it stands to reason why so many Superstars would battle for a spot on the card. Hopefully, WWE is able to book the card they want, and there isn’t a lot of drama backstage in the process.

Triple H is doing his best as he books WWE, but is it good enough? Sound off in the comments!
