Jim Ross is a WWE Hall of Famer and was the voice of several generations of fans, as he gave decades of his life to the business. Ross has been part of numerous iconic moments in the business, and he continues to be respected even now. He has been with AEW since day one, but it appears his AEW contract is running up.
Due to his veteran status, Jim Ross is well aware of how the pro wrestling world functions and how certain things in AEW can be perceived. Naturally, whatever Jim Ross says carries a lot of weight.
Jim Ross got hurt before the debut of AEW Collision last month but decided to work the show as it was his duty. Unfortunately, it ended up affecting his performance severely and he took time off to heal afterwards
While speaking on Grilling JR, Jim Ross talked about his health status and then revealed that he doesn’t have a lot of time left on his AEW contract, but he is not worried about it.
“I will be back. I will continue working. My contract with AEW is still in place. I don’t have a lot of time left on it, but I’ve got enough. I’m not concerned about that. Either I’m retained, or I’m not. I’m just gonna take it a day at a time and see how it works out. But I enjoy working for AEW. It’s fun to be part of a startup. I said that when I was hired. It’s great to see all these young guys start to come into their own, and I’d love to be there for the rest of the journey to help guide them along the way, almost in a talent relations type situation. I enjoy helping these kids.”
Jim Ross also doesn’t know when he will return to AEW television after his health issue. We’re hoping that Jim Ross will be able to make it back to television every week as fans want to listen to the WWE Hall Of Famer share his views as part of the AEW commentary team.
