AEW’s announcement about its first venture into the video game industry excited fans in a big way, as it was the first time since 2008 that besides WWE, fans would get to play a wrestling game from another company. Fight Forever has been out for a few days and it appears Kenny Omega already confirmed it will include the Stadium Stampede mode.
The game was released on June 29th and fans and critics alike have praised it for its solid and robust gameplay but criticized the game for its lack of quality-of-life features as well as very limited scope for customization.
A major criticism of the game is the lack of game modes besides the standard matches. While speaking to Raj Prashad of Uproxx, Kenny Omega confirmed that the game will include the Stadium Stampede mode.
“There is always going to be additions to this game. You haven’t seen anything yet. You’ve seen a little bit, but you haven’t seen a lot of things that I’m very excited for. There’s something in particular coming up that, it’s sort of been leaked a little bit, so the Stadium Stampede mode I’m very excited for and I think people are going to have a lot of fun. It’s something so incredibly unique and I think it’s going to be great. The roster, we’re going to add bodies to the roster as well. Custom parts for create a wrestler, all that stuff. I can’t wait to share more announcements with people and to see more of the roster, more match types and see the videos turn up online for how people are enjoying it.”
Kenny Omega already promised that the game will get continuous support from its developers. We will have to wait and see how AEW Fight Forever will continue to improve for fans in the long run.
