Roman Reigns’ Rumored SummerSlam Opponent

Roman Reigns dominated WWE for over three years thanks to The Bloodline, who always had his back no matter what. However, Reigns’ mistreatment of The Usos eventually led to them turning on him. After The Usos beat Reigns at the Money In The Bank, it appears WWE has major plans for The Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa squared off against The Usos in a terrific tag team match, which featured a ton of drama and insane action. In the end, Jey Uso did the unthinkable and pinned Roman Reigns – which was Reigns’ first pinfall loss since 2019.

Interestingly enough, the first person to ever pin Roman Reigns on the main roster was also Jey Uso back in 2013. Not only that – Jey Uso had a huge rivalry with Roman Reigns back in 2020.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, it was reported that Roman Reigns will be squaring off against Jey Uso at SummerSlam. Therefore, WWE will be booking Jey Uso with that in mind.

Regarding Jey Uso actually defeating Roman Reigns for the titles, it was noted that is highly unlikely. As previously reported, WWE has huge plans for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, so it’s unlikely he will lose the title before then. It remains to be seen how WWE will continue to book Roman Reigns as we head towards SummerSlam.
