AEW’s announcement about its first venture into the video game industry was well received, as it was the first time since TNA’s game in 2008 that WWE games will finally have some competition. Fight Forever has been out for a few days and the response has been mixed so far. Now it appears Kenny Omega has reacted to fan criticism as well.
AEW: Fight Forever’ had been hit with several delays since its announcement in November 2020. This has made fans believe was never going to see the light of day, but that wasn’t the case.
The game was released on June 29th and fans and critics alike have praised it for its solid and robust gameplay but criticized the game for its lack of quality-of-life features as well as very limited scope for customization.
A fan took to Twitter and criticized the game, stating that AEW Fight Forever needs more work. Kenny Omega replied to the fan, as he reassured the fan the game will be getting regular updates and support to make it better.
As someone who plays a ton of fighting games and FPS, I’ll always encourage fixes and rebalancing when situations like these turn up. There will be continued support for the game so all this feedback and suggestions are great! Thank you!
We will have to wait and see whether AEW Fight Forever will see more improvements and address all the fan criticism meted towards it. After all, Kenny Omega truly cares about the game in a big way.
