Damian Priest won the 2023 Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, but that wasn’t the last time fans saw him that night. Priest showed up during Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as well.
During the match, as Damian Priest stood at ringside, his presence alone causing a distraction, Balor hit the shotgun dropkick. Balor went for the coup de grâce, but Rollins escaped and hit him with a discus clothesline. He then hit a pedigree. He covered Balor, but Balor kicked out at two. Damian Priest came out with his Money in the Bank briefcase. Balor tried to take advantage, but Rollins superkicked him.
Rollins confronted Priest, who sat down at ringside. Balor delivered a shotgun dropkick and sent Rollins into the announcer’s desk. He hit the coup de grâce on Rollins, then repeated the move and sent him back into the ring. Balor followed up with another shotgun dropkick. However, Priest got up, and Balor became distracted. When Balor attempted the coup de grâce again, he missed. Rollins capitalized by hitting the stomp for the victory.
After the match was over, Seth Rollins celebrated while Damian Priest and Seth Rollins argued at ringside. Those two seem to have issues, and they also called attention to Judgment Day’s continued problems on commentary.
We will have to see what’s next for Judgment Day, but Damian Priest’s status as Mr. Money in the Bank could open the door for a lot of possibilities.
