WWE has many options when they’re looking at Money in the Bank. They might even decide to break out an old character in the meantime. After all, it could be the perfect place for Butch to go back to his previous gimmick.

Butch was known as Pete Dunne in NXT UK, and NXT. Then he was given a one-word name for some reason when Vince McMahon called him up to the WWE main roster.

Butch has remained as a member of the Brawling Brutes since then, and he’s had a good time with that faction. Money in the Bank will see Butch in the annual ladder match for the briefcase, and they might introduce a different name when he makes his way to the ring.

BWE was asked by a fan on Twitter about Butch going back to the Pete Dunne name, and whether it will happen at Money in the Bank. The proven WWE insider tweeted back to say, “Dunno yet. But should be soon.”

We will have to see how WWE books this situation. Butch returning to Pete Dunne at London’s O2 Arena would certainly get a pop from the UK crowd. After all, those fans knew about Pete Dunne far before the Bruiserweight was ever in WWE.
