WWE’s Money in the Bank event is set to go down in London’s O2 Arena this Saturday. The WWE Universe could see a lot of surprises, but they also might not see Drew McIntyre, in spite of the fact that he is expected by a lot of people.

Drew McIntyre was injured on the road to WrestleMania 39, but he kept going and followed through with his planned triple threat match with Sheamus and GUNTHER. Now, fans are waiting for his return.

PW Insider noted that, at this point, Drew McIntyre’s WWE return doesn’t look like it is going to happen at Money in the Bank. This could be a big surprise that they have planned, but odds are fans will have to wait.

“Nothing new that we’ve heard. There were some in the company confident he would be back with the current UK tour and Money in the Bank, but he’s not on the tour and some of those same sources were far less confident in recent days, as we mentioned in the Elite section.

“If they have decided to pull the trigger and bring him back Saturday, it’s being well hidden thus far.”

Drew McIntyre could really grab some attention if the company is able to write his return in a good way. Obviously, they can also sandbag him if they want to, but that’s probably not on their agenda.

Only time will tell if Drew McIntyre inks a new WWE contract, because his deal was running up at the end of this year. Until that news breaks, keep checking back with Ringside News for more.
