CM Punk’s return to AEW was under a lot of doubt after all the drama he caused at AEW All Out last year. That said, Punk is now back in the fold in a major way and it appears his status for AEW All In has seemingly been confirmed.
CM Punk incited the anger of fans and pro wrestlers alike thanks to his rant after AEW All Out last year and the subsequent backstage brawl with The Elite. This truly changed the course of AEW in various ways.
Barring the debut episode of AEW Collision, CM Punk has been on the receiving end of a lot of boos. This even included CM Punk beating Satoshi Kojima in the Owen Hart Cup tournament at the Forbidden Door Event.
For a long time, CM Punk was not featured in any promotional material for the upcoming AEW All In event in London. That has changed now as a full-page ad for All In in the UK-based Metro newspaper has Punk featured in a big way, as it has more or less confirmed his status for the event.
Even Tony Khan isn’t surprised by all the boos CM Punk has been getting lately. We will have to wait and see what AEW will have planned for CM Punk for the August 27th event at Wembley Stadium.
