WWE is very protective about their trademarks, and they don’t want anyone making money on their properties. This desire to lock with their IP apparently extends to charities as well.

A charity raffle hosted by Pro Wrestling Tees, featuring a t-shirt from WWE star Sami Zayn, has been canceled due to a ‘cease and desist’ request. This puzzled a lot of fans, for obvious reasons.

The t-shirt in question, titled ‘My Dawg’ and autographed by several notable names including Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Jimmy & Jey Uso from WWE’s Bloodline faction, and AEW’s Kenny Omega, was intended to be raffled off on Pro Wrestling Tees. However, the item was removed from the site.

A fan recently shared on Reddit that they were informed by Pro Wrestling Tees about the removal of the item after the company received a cease and desist notice.

The purpose of the raffle was to raise funds for Zayn’s Sami For Syria charity, with tickets being sold at a price of $2. We will have to see if there is any resolution to this situation.

It is very interesting that this listing was targeted. Then again, you also know that WWE has their eyes on the entire pro wrestling world for a reason.

Do you understand why this cease & desist was sent? Sound off in the comments!
