Ryback is a former WWE IC Champion, and he has a lot of experience in the squared circle. At this point in his career, he is still at a stand-still, because his body is still healing. Once he receives medical clearance, it looks like he will have options.

Ryback hasn’t wrestled for a long time, and he’s letting himself heal. Through stem cell treatments, and other methods, he’s constantly working on his body to get back to fighting shape. He also isn’t throwing in the towel.

During a recent live stream, Ryback spoke openly about his progress. He also admitted that there are a lot of emails coming in, which gives him confidence that he could make it on the indies if he wanted to go that route when he is cleared for a return.

We’re getting close. We’re getting close with it. Let me tell you, I just got a thing for November for a huge event in LA for a promotion. I’m not gonna give too many — I’m not sure if I’m gonna take this or not. It’s a huge opportunity to do something non AEW and WWE, but stiff is coming in.

As people start hearing that I’m getting better, people are emailing me again, a promotion in Scotland that I worked with. So, once I’m cleared, I don’t think it will be — I won’t just have to go to AEW or Impact. I could actually just do the indies, if I wanted to do that route. I might have to do that route, or AEW could give me a call.

In case you need a refresher, Ryback is also dealing with a terrible stalker issue, and this is not a new situation. Ryback disclosed that he has been grappling with this issue for more than a decade. Taking to Twitter, he elaborated that this particular fan had attempted to gain unauthorized access to a backstage area during a WWE event in Tampa several years ago.

Ryback has a lot of fans who would show up to an event in their hometown to see him. He could be a huge name on the indies, but only time will tell if Tony Khan gives him a call before his indie schedule fills up.

We wouldn’t mind seeing Ryback back on television, but should he just stick to the indies? Sound off in the comments!
