The reaction of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler to being namedropped by Logan Paul on a recent episode of WWE RAW has been revealed, shedding light on Lawler’s ongoing recovery from a stroke he suffered in February 2023.

According to Bill Apter, the legendary commentator and wrestler is improving but not recovering as quickly as hoped. Apter discussed Lawler’s reaction to Logan Paul’s mention on the June 19 episode of WWE Raw.

During an interview on WrestleBinge, Apter shared Lawler’s excitement upon learning that Paul had mentioned him on Monday Night RAW. However, Lawler experienced difficulty remembering certain parts of the segment, particularly when Paul mentioned LeBron James. Lawler struggled to recall that name.

“He mentioned that he saw RAW this past Monday night and that Logan Paul mentioned him on Monday Night RAW, and he was thrilled to hear that. But he did have a problem remembering parts of that segment, like when he [Paul] mentioned LeBron James, he [Lawler] couldn’t mention that name.”

Apter noted that while Lawler faced challenges in finishing sentences, he has shown progress compared to three weeks prior. On a positive note, Lawler recently recognized a joke that he and Apter used to share, marking a significant milestone in his recovery since the stroke.

“But he did have a problem remembering parts of that segment, like when he [Paul] mentioned LeBron James, he [Lawler] couldn’t mention that name. Yeah, it was hard for him to finish the sentences, but he’s much better than when I talked to him about three weeks ago.”

Logan Paul is set to compete in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, vying for a WWE men’s championship contract. The ladder match will also feature wrestlers such as Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, LA Knight, Santos Escobar, Butch, and Damian Priest.
