Pro wrestling is full of legends and great stories from the past. It seems that some of those tales might be a bit exaggerated, and Booker T had to speak up about one.
There is a story in pro wrestling history about Brian Knobbs beating up Matt Damon. For years, people have believed that the Nasty Boy beat up Will Hunting, and that is just one of the many stories in the history of pro wrestling that need to be addressed.
During his Hall of Fame radio show, Booker T addressed this story about Brian Knobbs. This was certainly an unexpected story for Booker T to dive into, but it happened nonetheless.
“Knobbs beat him up, that’s a true story, that’s not a legend. Somewhere, I can’t remember where it was … look, I don’t know exactly what happened, but my brother was there. Knobs beat up Matt Damon in a bar. The thing is, they probably didn’t know who Matt Damon was, because he was young at the time.”
Booker T said that he doesn’t like telling stories if he wasn’t there, but he knows this story is true. Matt Damon was much younger, and that probably worked against him, but he certainly got beat up that night.
Matt Damon hadn’t played some of his most iconic roles at the time of this incident, so his face didn’t ring any bells with the pro wrestlers in that Boston bar. Legend or not, Stevie Ray was there, and he vouched to Booker T that Damon did get his clock cleaned by Brian Knobs.
Matt Damon is a pretty famous face now, what’s your favorite movie with him? Would you beat him up too? Sound off in the comments!
