John Cena has worked hard to become one of the biggest names in professional wrestling, as he carried WWE on his back from 2006 to 2016. He is now a part-timer, having a busy schedule in Hollywood. That said, it appears Teddy Long doesn’t think John Cena is serious about returning to pro wrestling for a potential feud with LA Knight.
John Cena has always made sure to give it his best no matter what role he is given and his Hollywood accolades as of late speak for themselves. This includes his roles in films such as ‘The Suicide Squad’ and ‘Peacemaker’ and even the ‘Fast & Furious’ movies.
Recently, John Cena showed some love to LA Knight in an Instagram post. This was a major gesture from John Cena and fans started wondering whether he would feud with Knight in the future.
While speaking on the Road Trip After Hours podcast, the former general manager Teddy Long talked about a potential feud with John Cena and LA Knight. Long admitted he isn’t a John Cena fan and expressed doubt about John Cena returning to pro wrestling.
“Well, I don’t know, man. You know what I mean? I’ll just be straight up with you. I’m not a John Cena fan, okay, so I don’t really know. LA Knight, I like this kid, man, and I think it’s a great opportunity for him to work with someone like John Cena. But I mean, you know, I don’t know if Cena is serious about coming back to wrestling. I just don’t get none of it and I guess it’s really not my business anyway, so whatever happens, you know, it shouldn’t concern me anyway, but if that’s what happens, you know, we’ll just wait and see.”
John Cena will also star in Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated film ‘Barbie,’ where he will be portraying the role of a mermaid. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether he will return to WWE and eventually feud with LA Knight.
