WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is certainly one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever been a part of the professional wrestling world. The success he saw during his rookie year in WWE is still without equal. Angle also did a lot of bizarre things during his time in WWE and it appears he once exposed himself to Vince McMahon.
The Olympic Gold Medallist earned numerous accolades throughout his career, including becoming a multi-time World Champion. Angle has also faced many legendary pro wrestlers in his career.
However, Angle’s body had gone through a lot of wear and tear over the years, especially back in 2006. He also had a problem with substance abuse at that time. Angle simply couldn’t compete at the same level as a full-time WWE Superstar.
His longstanding battle with painkiller addiction took its toll on him and his relationship with Vince McMahon suffered a great deal because of it. While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle recalled the time he walked into a production meeting and pulled down his pants, exposing his groin to Vince McMahon. His groin was all black and blue due to multiple injuries.
“I think I told you when I tore my hamstring, my groin and my ab muscle all in one match against RVD. He was the WWE champion or ECW champion. I went to the next day, we had TV. We had three house shows before the TV.
Next day, we had to go to SmackDown and I showed up early at the writers meeting. I walked into the meeting room and the people, the writers were behind me and Vince was in front of me in a desk, the front of the room.
And I walked, took my pants down all the way down to my ankles, all you could see is my balls and everything completely nude. And if they’re black, it’s black, my leg’s black all the way down to my foot.
Vince is like, ‘Oh my god, I guess you’re not wrestling tonight,’ I said no, I’m not, Vince, we need to have a meeting. That’s when I quit.”
Kurt Angle would make his way to TNA after leaving WWE in 2006 and made his WWE return back in 2017. Thankfully, Angle is in much better health now and that is all that matters.
