Fans Use Vulgar Chant At Will Ospreay Over Chris Benoit Reference During Forbidden Door

AEW and NJPW held another Forbidden Door event, and there was no shortage of big moments during the show. The IWGP United States Title was defended during the 3rd to last match of the night, and they put on quite a show.

Kenny Omega defended his IWGP United States Title against Will Ospreay during the show. Ospreay actually made his way to the ring with Don Callis and two members of military security flanking him.

During the match, Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega were both busted open. As they bled on the canvas, Ospreay latched on a crossface, Chris Benoit’s submission hold.

Since they were in Canada, this reference was understood in a big way. “You sick f*ck” chants rang out in Toronto directed at Will Ospreay.

This was quite a statement for Will Ospreay to make, and it was very much unexpected. We will have to see what’s next for everyone involved, right here at Ringside News.
