Former ROH World Champion Rush signed a contract with AEW after various appearances last year. Since then, he has become a valuable asset to Tony Khan’s company. That said, it appears he denied reports of having visa issues as a reason for his absence from AEW.

Rush last appeared on the May 26 episode of AEW Rampage, where he teamed with Dralistico and Preston Vance, and they lost to Acclaimed and Billy Gunn. Fans started wondering what became of Rush after that.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was said that Rush was dealing with visa issues, which is why he remained absent from AEW television for long.

Rush has been out of action of late due to what was said to be fixing visa issues, similar to why Komander was gone for a few weeks recently and why Bandido, Penta & Fenix were gone at different times this year, plus a lot of the U.K. crew in NXT.

Rush recently took to Twitter and made it clear he has big goals in mind for his career. Afterwards, Jose The Assistant asked Rush if he fixed his visa issues. Rush then made it clear that he never had any visa issues and had been leaving in the US for a month now.

My visa has never had any issues, I have been living in USA for a month now.

Rush also announced the birth of his daughter recently. He was also criticized for abusing his power following his shocking AAA departure. We’ll have to see when Rush will return to AEW television.

What’s your opinion on this story? Are you shocked that Rush didn’t have any visa issues to begin with? Let us know in the comments!
