Ronda Rousey made her return during the 2022 Royal Rumble event after a nearly three-year absence from WWE. Despite winning two championships after her return, none of her reigns were necessarily noteworthy. That said, it appears Ronda Rousey broke her silence after her major title win on Smackdown this week.
After a brief hiatus following WrestleMania 39, Ronda Rousey returned again and set her sights on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. She and Shayna Baszler defeated three other teams on RAW in order to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, much to the dismay of fans.
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler faced off against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn in a women’s tag team title unification match. After the dust settled, it was Rousey and Baszler who stood won the match and became the unified champions.
The former UFC star took to her Instagram and uploaded a photo of herself alongside Shayna Baslzer, as they both held their titles. Rousey was clearly gloating about her major win.
Just ChampChampChampChamp stuff you wouldn’t understand #TagTeamChamps
We previously reported that Ronda Rousey is being considered for a role in NXT. Now it appears WWE will move forward with those plans and have her compete in NXT in the future as a way to garner more views for NXT. Regardless, we’ll have to see how Rousey and Shayna Baszler will be booked in the coming weeks.
