CM Punk and FTR held up a sign after AEW Collision that drew a bit of controversy. That sign said “Support LGBTQ+ Youth.” Some people were all for Punk’s message in June for Pride, but others didn’t appreciate the narrative at all. Now, Punk has laid down a legal threat because of one negative reaction.
We previously reported that CM Punk’s attorneys sent pro wrestling personality Billi Bhatti a threatening legal letter over comments he made, and a t-shirt that he put out. CM Punk isn’t playing around, and he has demands. We also detailed CM Punk’s demands for Billi Bhatti, which he detailed in that legal letter. There is a lot to unpack in this situation.
During the latest episode of the Dirty Sheets, Billi Bhatti said that he is willing to “financially compensate the woman that CM Punk and Colt Cabana treated like a piece of sh*t all that time.” This was in reference to that troubling video with Punk and Cabana that recently resurfaced. That payment was offered in five installments of $1,000.
Billi Bhatti then went on to say that he is offering that as a “two-part offer,” but he will only send that money on the condition that when CM Punk comes to England, Punk, and anyone he wants to bring, they must go to dinner with him and his son.
The reason for this dinner, according to Billi Bhatti, is that he wants to educate CM Punk on how kids change their minds a lot. Bhatti’s son has gone through several phases of fandom, and he received full support from his parents.
Billi Bhatti wanted CM Punk to see how kids change their minds about things so often, and to such extremes, because Punk “has no right to hold a stupid sign” about LGBTQ rights for kids. Bhatti is convinced that if Punk understands how kids’ minds work, then he wouldn’t push an agenda that encourages children to transition.
In the end, Billi Bhatti is not saying he’s sorry. He made it very clear that he is standing by everything that he said about CM Punk. The subject of trans rights is now one that involves children, and it’s anyone’s guess how CM Punk will respond to this podcast.
We will keep our eye on this ongoing story here at Ringside News. There could be a lot more to deal with in this situation before everything is said and done.
