Jungle Boy is currently one of the mainstays on AEW television, whose stock only continues to rise as time passed. He is considered one of the Four Pillars of AEW, but fans feel there is a lot of potential in him that he still hasn’t reached. That said, it appears he finally reacted to Sanada throwing shade at him recently.

Jack Perry is now a bonafide singles star and while many fans appreciate his technical skills inside the squared circle, they have criticized him for his promo work. That said, he continues to have stellar matches whenever possible.

Jungle Boy is set to square off against Sanada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the Forbidden Door event on June 25th. Ahead of the match, Sanada threw major shade at Jungle Boy, dismissing him as credible challenger.

While speaking with Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone, Jungle Boy was asked about Sanada’s recent shady comments ahead of their match at Forbidden Door. Jungle Boy made it clear that he couldn’t care less about the shade because he didn’t watch any of Sanada’s matches.

“I’m gonna be completely honest. I was a little bit relieved when I saw that because I’ve been feeling a little guilty, kind of secretly. I’ve never seen a SANADA match in my life, and I was feeling a little bit guilty about that, like, ‘Oh my god, that’s kind of rude, whatever.’ But then he said [that], and I was like, ‘Okay. That’s great.’ I haven’t watched anything, other than Kenny and Will Ospreay, in New Japan since Cody and Kenny and the Young Bucks left and started AEW, so I have not seen any of that. I don’t really keep up with that. I thought Okada was the champion last time I was caught up with things, but it is what it is. I don’t think he has any particular reason to know too much about me, but I think it’s gonna be fun because we’re gonna learn pretty much everything there is to know when we’re kicking each other in the face on pay-per-view,

There are also apparent plans to turn Jungle Boy heel, but it isn’t known when AEW will execute these plans. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how he will fare against Sanada at Forbidden Door on June 25th.
