Mickie James is a legend in the pro wrestling world, and she has fans all over the world. It appears that those fans will get a bit more Hardcore Country sooner than they thought.
Mickie James could be headed back to the ring sooner than a lot of people expected. It appears that the Busted Open Radio co-host is preparing for something now.
Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Mickie James’ time in the ring is not over yet. In fact, she is totally healthy after suffering a rib injury at Rebellion in that Knockouts Championship match.
The legendary Mickie James didn’t make it back in time to defend her IMPACT Knockouts Championship at Rebellion due to a rib injury, but we’re told she’s healthy and could be returning very soon. Her husband Nick Aldis said recently that she’s 100 percent, and Fightful has been told that she was cleared a few weeks ago.
During the February IMPACT Wrestling tapings, Mickie James suffered a rib injury. Despite taking a month off to recover, she was still not in a healthy enough condition to participate in matches. IMPACT Wrestling faced a dilemma as they did not want to vacate both the World and Knockouts Championships following Josh Alexander’s injury. Unfortunately, Mickie was unable to compete, and medical professionals informed her that she could potentially miss “months” of action. As a result, Deonna Purrazzo went on to claim the championship.
It was also noted that, “Mickie James is technically free agent, and one who has always had plenty of options.” That being said, “Mickie James was expected to remain with IMPACT Wrestling until at least this Summer, sources in the company said, though that was before the injury. Another source said that despite the fact that Mickie James technically is and always has been a free agent since coming back to the company, they’ve always seen her as a woman of her word and there’s never been any real concern of her going back on commitments.”
We’ll have to see what’s next for Mickie James. She might pop up anywhere, especially if her status as a free agent sticks. For more on this story, and everything else going on in the pro wrestling world, stay tuned with us here at Ringside News.
