Becky Lynch had to take time away from the ring when she became pregnant with her and Seth Rollins’ first child, Roux. Now, she is able to speak about her experience, and that includes the hard time she had after giving birth.
Becky Lynch bravely shared her experience with postpartum depression, shedding light on her personal journey. This was a trying experience, for sure.
During a candid interview with People, Becky Lynch revealed how this chapter unfolded during the time surrounding WrestleMania 39 in April.
“And then it kind of got really, really dark for a few months and I was in a really bad spot. It was kind of one of those things where you’re trying to pull yourself out of it, because you know mentally, ‘God, I’ve got a great life. I’ve got a great husband. I’ve got a great baby, and I’m doing this thing at the highest level that I love.’ But no reasoning with yourself was able to overcome that level of depression.”
As she put her successful career in WWE on hold, Becky Lynch made the decision to take an extended break from the ring in 2020 and into 2021 to welcome her first child with Seth Rollins. Their daughter, Roux, was born in December 2020. However, Lynch recently faced the challenges of post-weaning depression after she stopped breastfeeding.
Becky Lynch seems to be doing much better now, but she certainly went through a dark period. Hopefully, things will be nothing but bright for her, and her family, in the years to come.
