Xavier Woods Really Wants The New Day vs The Elite Match

The New Day is regarded as one of the greatest tag teams in the history of WWE, and it’s not really hard to see why. They have been part of numerous historical matches and won tag team titles several times. That being said, it appears Xavier Woods really wants to see The New Day face off against their rivals – The Elite.

After almost a decade since their inception, The New Day have gone on to become one of the best tag teams in the world and won numerous accolades over the years. They even broke several records together.

In case you didn’t know, The New Day have a strong rivalry with The Elite, more specifically Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. This was more apparent in 2018, as Xavier Woods and Kenny Omega faced each other in Street Fighter V during that year’s E3.

While speaking on My Love Letter to Wrestling, Woods was asked how he would like to celebrate the New Day’s 10-year anniversary. Woods then made it clear he wants The New Day to square off against the Elite in a 6-man tag team match.

“I feel like the ten-year anniversary for New Day, my magic wand wish would be we get to go to Tokyo for a week. Spend time in Tokyo arcades for a full week hanging out.

As much as we can get. Especially if we can work at other places now. I’m trying to wrestle everybody. There are so many names on the list. It feels weird to start anywhere because I want to start everywhere. If we could legit branch out and wrestle other teams, obviously, the Young Bucks. We’d love a six-man with the Elite. There are so many people. I can’t name them.”

We will have to wait and see whether The New Day and The Elite ever square off against each other inside the squared circle. With WWE having no intention of working with AEW, the dream match won’t happen anytime soon.
