AEW kicked off Collision last week, and they have some plans for the future. It seems that CM Punk will continue to be a big selling point for the show, and Warner Bros Discovery is very happy with how things are going.

This past Saturday, the highly anticipated debut episode of AEW Collision took place at the United Center in Chicago. Click here for the ratings on the debut episode.

The focal point of the show was the return of CM Punk to AEW, who made two significant appearances. He opened the show with a promo, setting the tone for the evening, and later returned at the end of the night to team up with FTR in a match against Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Samoa Joe.

The decision to launch a new AEW television show was made by Warner Bros. Discovery, and we now have an update on their reaction to the debut of Collision.

Sources from within Warner Bros. Discovery have informed PW Insider that the company was genuinely “thrilled” with the show’s broadcast audience and the overall level of engagement generated by the first episode of Collision.

We will have to see what AEW does in the future to book Collision, and draw attention. Obviously, Tony Khan has a lot of things that he needs to consider, but maintaining a solid viewership number needs to be a top priority.
