Tony Khan has his eye on the entire pro wrestling world. Now, it seems that the idea of bringing Goldberg into AEW might be event, stronger than ever.
Since the announcement of Goldberg becoming a free agent, there has been speculation about the possibility of him debuting for AEW. He also wants to wrestle one more time, and an event in Israel is reportedly coming.
During the media scrum for AEW & NJPW Forbidden Door, Tony Khan spoke about Goldberg once again when he was asked about bringing in the WWE Hall of Famer. As Sean Sapp tweeted out, Khan made it clear that he has spoken to Goldberg in the past.
Tony Khan reiterates that he’s had nice conversations with Goldberg about a part of AEW. He seems to kibosh the idea of Goldberg teaming with Sting and Darby Allin
While Goldberg was not seen during the Collision debut, some fans have speculated that his AEW debut may have been hinted at during this week’s episode of Dynamite.
During the show, Darby Allin and Sting entered the ring and accepted the challenge from Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, and Minoru Suzuki for a match at Forbidden Door. Darby and Sting mentioned having a third teammate but stated that they would reveal their identity on the upcoming episode of Collision, citing that Jericho has made many enemies.
Given the history between Jericho and Goldberg from their time in WCW, some believe that Goldberg could be unveiled as the third member of Sting and Darby’s team this Saturday.
