Mark Henry shocked the world when he made his debut at the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view back in 2021. AEW became only the second company ever that Henry has worked in. For a long time, Henry worked under Vince McMahon in WWE and had a memorable career there. That said, it appears Henry threatened to quit WWE after Vince McMahon disrespected him.

On the other hand, Vince McMahon is the Chairman of WWE and oversees everything that goes on in the company, right down to the most minute of details. McMahon is larger than life and is known to do the craziest of things, many of which are true. That includes his legendary midnight workouts.

Vince McMahon is a major prankster and has constantly played pranks on WWE Superstars over the years. However, one particular prank he played on Mark Henry crossed the line.

In 2011, Vince McMahon sent Mark Henry to the ring at the end of a WWE show to face Sin Cara. While Henry waited for Sin Cara, McMahon left the arena in a limousine. Henry eventually realized that he had been set up by McMahon.

While speaking on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast, Mark Henry recalled being extremely furious after the prank. Henry revealed that he threatened to quit WWE after Vince McMahon disrespected him with the prank.

“I felt disrespected, I feel trivialized. Out of all the work that I did, like all of the sacrificing, and you people say, ‘Oh, you got paid a lot of money.’ You know what, man, I didn’t get paid enough money to dummy down my pride and my respect as a man. Ain’t no price for that. And when that happened, I felt like, ‘Okay, I’m expendable, I’m useless to them. They don’t respect me.’

Being that I am a man and that I was able to say my piece to Vince and everybody involved, like, ‘Just know who I am, because that won’t ever happen again. If it does, like us talking will not be an option. And I quit.'”

Mark Henry also recently revealed how Vince McMahon was there for him when his mother passed away. Despite all the pranks McMahon pulled on Henry, the two have a lot of love and mutual respect for each other and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
