Madison Rayne retired from the pro wrestling world after Impact Wrestling’s Hard To Kill back in 2021. She would then sign with AEW and helped out the roster in a big way. However, she has been absent for a couple of months and now it appears she is out of action due to a foot injury.

Madison Rayne was hired by AEW as a women’s coach to help bolster the weak division. Many fans were happy with this decision simply because of the wealth of knowledge she possesses.

As previously reported, Madison Rayne suffered an injury during a taping for ROH that took place before Rampage went live at the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island on April 7th.

While speaking during the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door media call, Tony Khan revealed that Madison Rayne is currently out of action due to the aforementioned foot injury, but helps out backstage.

Madison Rayne and Sarah Stock are both very involved in the coaching and producing of matches. I have a lot of people who come in and make suggestions and bring ideas. Sarah has added a lot since she’s been with us and Madison has been here a bit longer. She had been out of wrestling with an injury, she’s still backstage with us, dealing with a foot injury she had in a match a couple of months ago. Excited to get her back in the ring at some point. She is tremendously useful backstage. It’s great to get their perspective on the women’s division.

Madison Rayne is more than happy working in AEW, as her knowledge will no doubt benefit the company in many ways. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope she will be able to make her in-ring return as soon as possible.
