Jungle Boy Jack Perry is slated to face Sanada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming AEW and NJPW Forbidden Door event on Sunday night. During an interview with Tokyo Sports, Sanada shared his thoughts on the upcoming match.

“I have no knowledge of Jack Perry. It’s sad to see someone like that challenge for the IWGP. Is an open challenge really that easy to decide? It’s the IWGP, I think it’s worth more than the AEW Championship.”

Jungle Boy is an interesting opponent for Sanada at Forbidden Door, but Tony Khan is trying to push Luke Perry’s son in a huge way. June 25th will obviously be a huge night for the AEW pillar.

There are also apparent plans to turn Jungle Boy heel. Only time will tell what is in store for him in AEW, but he still has a lot to accomplish in the entire pro wrestling world.
