Update: It seems that the boos were not directed at The Acclaimed, but there was a ton of heat on the segment.

Original: The Acclaimed were once one of AEW’s top acts, as fans love to yell “SCISSOR ME DADDY ASS!” It seems that their routine might have grown stale with Chicago fans already.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez noted that he was told by a fan at AEW’s television taping this week that things didn’t turn out too well for The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass’ segment. In fact, they were heavily booed, and it’s expected that AEW will fix it in post production.

I had a buddy that was at Rampage at the show live, and they wrote, ‘Holy sh*t, the live crowd destroyed the Daddy Ass segment. Let’s see how they edit 10 minutes of straight booing and not letting them do it.'”

All of those boos might cost Tony Khan a bit of extra time to get Rampage ready this week. They might need to mask that negative reaction to one of the companies’ top babyface acts.

We will have to see if The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass turn heel any time soon. It seems that AEW fans are more than ready to boo them out of the building.
