Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay are considered two of the best in the pro wrestling business. This is because they paved the way for many other stars to make a name for themselves outside WWE. The two finally faced off against each other for the second time at Wrestle Kingdom 17, where Omega was triumphant. That being said, it appears Will Ospreay is the favorite to win their rematch at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II.
The Cleaner won the IWGP United States championship back in January, after defeating Will Ospreay in one of the greatest matches in NJPW history. Despite Kenny Omega winning the match, it was made clear that their feud wasn’t finished just yet.
It was then made official that Will Ospreay will challenge Kenny Omega for the title at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II Event. The Aerial Assassin then made his shocking return to AEW television during last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, where he took out Kenny Omega in order to close out the show.
According to betting odds revealed by BetOnline, Will Ospreay is the current favorite to defeat Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Championship at the Forbidden Door event on June 25th.
We will have to wait and see whether Will Ospreay avenges his loss this time around and gains back the IWGP United States Championship this week.
