Jim Ross was in rough shape during the premiere episode of AEW Collision. He had a black eye, and his voice was shot.

After AEW Collision on June 17th, Jim Ross announced that he is taking a break to heal. It seems that break will extend past June 25th’s Forbidden Door event.

Jim Ross tweeted out to address fans. He is excited about seeing Bryan Danielson vs Kazuchika Okada, but he won’t be in the building to see it in person.

Looks like I’m likely to miss seeing my amazing friend ⁦@rainmakerXokada⁩ this run. Okada vs ⁦@bryandanielson⁩ will raise the bar significantly! Guaranteed classic!

We will have to see how AEW and NJPW Forbidden Door 2 pans out. Jim Ross wishes that he could be there, but at least he will get to watch from home.
