The WWE NXT Gold Rush special kicks off tonight with Week 1, airing live on the USA Network from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
The main event of NXT Gold Rush Week 1 will see WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins putting his title on the line against Bron Breakker. Additionally, NXT North American Champion Wes Lee will defend his title against Tyler Bate, with Mustafa Ali serving as the special guest referee for the match.
Another highlight of the night will be a tag team match involving Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, and Edris Enofe and Malik Blade. The winning team will earn the opportunity to become the number one contenders for a title shot in Week 2.
Other matches on the card include Dana Brooke taking on Cora Jade, and Lash Legend teaming up with Jakara Jackson to face Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz. NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and Baron Corbin will also come face-to-face in a confrontational segment, setting the stage for their match in Week 2.
Additionally, Chase University will hold a pep rally for Thea Hail’s upcoming match against NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton in Week 2.
As fans eagerly await tonight’s NXT Gold Rush, the anticipation builds for Week 2, which will feature NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes defending his title against Baron Corbin, and NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton putting her title on the line against Thea Hail. Furthermore, the NXT Tag Team Champions Gallus will defend their titles against the winners of the Week 1 Triple Threat match.
