Speculation had been swirling about the potential appearances of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks on this week’s AEW Dynamite, given CM Punk’s return on AEW Collision in Chicago. However, according to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com, Omega will not be making live appearances on either AEW Dynamite or AEW Collision.
These upcoming shows serve as the go-home episodes leading into Sunday’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view, where Omega is scheduled to defend his IWGP United States Title against Will Ospreay. Last week on Dynamite, Ospreay made a statement by attacking Omega to close the show.
It remains unclear whether Omega will make any appearances in video packages, and the status of his Elite teammates, The Young Bucks and Hangman Page, is also unknown for these shows. In the previous week’s Dynamite, The Elite emerged victorious against the Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli) in the main event.
As fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming events, including matches such as Kris Statlander vs. Taya Valkyrie for the TBS Championship, The Hardys vs. The Gunns, Zack Sabre Jr. & Daniel Garcia vs. Orange Cassidy & Katsuyori Shibata, and Jeff Jarrett vs. Mark Briscoe in a Concession Stand Brawl, the absence of Omega and the uncertain status of The Young Bucks and Hangman Page add an intriguing layer of mystery to the shows.
Stay tuned for further updates as AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision approach, leading up to the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, where the wrestling landscape is sure to be shaken up once again.
