CM Punk remains one of the most controversial pro wrestlers in recent memory and he makes headlines no matter what. While Punk has fans, he also has his fair share of detractors and that includes Eric Bischoff. Now it appears Eric Bischoff believes CM Punk actually handled his most recent ESPN interview quite well.
Eric Bischoff also previously blasted CM Punk for being bitter and brittle and made it clear he does not think Punk is worth keeping in AEW. Regardless, other people feel differently.
Prior to his AEW return during the debut episode of Collisionin, CM Punk took part in an interview with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi. This marked the first-ever interview Punk did since the All Out brawl last year.
While speaking on the 83 Weeks podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff admitted that CM Punk handled the ESPN interview quite well and managed to clear the air after apologizing to Tony Khan.
”I actually think Punk handled it well, you know?” he stated. “He apologized. Or, he said that he apologized to Tony Khan. And that — Look, I think Punk would’ve been better served had he apologized sooner… But if he apologized to Tony, and I believe he did, I think the interview actually cleared the air.
AEW talent also expected CM Punk’s ESPN interview to be much worse than it turned out to be. Regardless, CM Punk is now back in the fold as part of AEW and fans can’t wait to see what he will do next.
