AEW and NJPW are set to produce another Forbidden Door event on Sunday. That should be a big show, and the main event could be an epic encounter. Now, we will have to see how CM Punk fits into the mix.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that CM Punk is planned for AEW Dynamite this week. The Young Bucks are not, but an even more interesting note falls with Punk’s planned Forbidden Door match.

As of this writing, CM Punk is planned to face off against KENTA in a GTS vs GTS dream match. That being said, it hasn’t been 100% locked down yet.

Punk is actively planned for this week’s upcoming AEW Dynamite, though he isn’t announced as of yet. Also, his planned match with KENTA at Forbidden Door hasn’t been announced, which we’ve heard is not 100%, but AEW is hoping will happen. At times, Chris Jericho was planned for a Punk feud, which we’ve not heard anything on in quite a while. There were also Samoa Joe and Switchblade Jay White singles matches planned during points of his return, but changes were made.

We will have to see if CM Punk and Kenta throw down at Forbidden Door on June 25. They are certainly cutting things close right now, because that show is coming up in five days.

We will have complete coverage of AEW and NJPW Forbidden Door 2, right here at Ringside News. Until then, you never know what can happen in pro wrestling.
