Mr. Kennedy had a solid future in WWE, as many felt he was going to be the next big thing in the company. He had a rocket strapped to his back and was destined to reach new heights. In fact, he was even set to beat The Undertaker for the World Title. None of that happened and he was eventually released. Now it appears that Kennedy wants a piece of Seth Rollins in WWE.
Ken Kennedy had an impressive undefeated streak in 2006 and was subsequently given the opportunity to win the Money in the Bank contract. However, despite his initial success, a series of injuries and behind-the-scenes issues ultimately hindered his upward trajectory in the industry.
Of course, Mr. Kennedy never achieved the heights he could have and was subsequently released by WWE in 2009 after his well-known issues with Randy Orton. It has been 14 long years since he stepped foot in a WWE ring.
While speaking on UnSKripted, Mr Kennedy talked about his WWE return opponents. Kennedy stated that he wants to square off against Seth Rollins inside a WWE ring.
“I definitely would love to wrestle Seth [Rollins], I have actually wrestled AJ [Styles] a lot when I was in Impact Wrestling, when I was with TNA.”
Following his WWE departure, Mr. Kennedy debuted in TNA/Impact Wrestling where he had a solid run as their World Champion. He feuded with the likes of Kurt Angle, Sting and others before being released in 2016. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether Kennedy will ever return to WWE.
