Dominik Mysterio’s character in WWE has seen a lot of evolution in the short time he’s been a part of the main roster. He went from Rey Mysterio’s son to his current Prison Dom incarnation, and that’s not even counting his real start in the “I’m Your Papi” angle with Eddie Guerrero. Now that Dominik is a heel, he believes that it was in him the whole time.

Dominik Mysterio is currently associated with Judgment Day and shares a strong bond with Rhea Ripley. Dom Dom has been asserting himself against seasoned veterans in the wrestling industry, including Cody Rhodes. The two have a match at Money in the Bank on July 1st, but Mami might be close by.

During a recent interview on Inside the Ropes, Mysterio opened up about his character and expressed how effortless it has been for him to embody it. It seems that dickish character has been in him this whole time.

“I think it’s kind of just secretly been hidden in me, that I’m kinda just this dick.”

“It, like with all things, just kind of just came naturally to me. I don’t know what it was, but I think what really helped me was, I guess when I was training with Lance (Storm) and with Jay Lethal, I guess everyone thought I was just gonna be a babyface like my dad and just be a good guy all the time.”

Pro wrestling gives talent the opportunity to turn their true selves up to 11, and Dominik Mysterio is having a blast in his current role. He generates a ton of heat every time he touches the microphone, and there is no doubting how impressive those responses are.

We will have to see what’s next for Dominik Mysterio, because the generational talent could have big things in store for him in WWE. Hopefully, he can take this momentum and carry it even further at this point.
