Becky Lynch Heel Run Believed To Have Damaged Her Character

Becky Lynch is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in WWE, whose value continues to skyrocket with every passing week. Big Time Becks has excelled as a heel and babyface during her career, but it appears some believe that her heel run might have damaged her character.

Becky Lynch has held prestigious titles as both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion, and she has also triumphed as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. The Man also won the Women’s Royal Rumble match, so she has certainly reached the top of the company numerous times.

Becky Lynch was also a heel for well over a year, from SummerSlam 2021 to SummerSlam 2022, where she was known as Big Time Becks and often dressed in outrageous attires every week. Fans loved her gimmick and simply couldn’t hate her.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray talked about Becky Lynch and Zoey Stark’s segment from RAW last week and noted how fans were having a hard time connecting to what Lynch was saying. Ray then believed that Lynch’s heel turn ended up hurting her character.

“I don’t know why the people are not more into Becky Lynch right now. I could say this, that whole heel run could have damaged her a bit, could have emotionally detached people from Becky Lynch a bit. Because I don’t believe that anyone has ever wanted to hate Becky Lynch. There’s not a damn thing about Becky Lynch that is hateable. At least I haven’t seen it. The one year that I spent with her in the WWE locker room, [she was] constantly smiling. So behind the scenes, a very nice, sweet, happy woman.

When I see Becky Lynch come out to the ring as a heel, not only did we not understand what she was saying half the time, but we were popping for her entrance music, yes or no? … What has Becky Lynch ever done or say to truly make us want to dislike her?”

Becky Lynch will be part of the Women’s Money In The Bank match next month, so it remains to be seen whether she will be able to win the one thing that as eluded her throughout her career.
