Velveteen Dream was one of Triple H’s favorite performers in NXT, but things derailed for him in a big way. His history in pro wrestling was marred with stories about cocaine abuse, arrests, and inappropriate conversations with minors. It seems that WWE was very close to bringing him back last year.

One fan tweeted out to BWE and asked, “how close was Velveteen Dream to returning to WWE last year before the new incidents?” It seems that there was a lot of talk about making that happen.

The proven WWE insider tweeted back to say, “So fkn close the og’s remember my tweets about before.”

Dream was arrested for cocaine possession, and he’s still dealing with those charges. Another story came out about him hiding a camera at a party, so he could get footage of Superstar junk. That doesn’t even include the allegation about him sending an explicit photo to minors, and also calling them. Click here for that audio.

Velveteen Dream was captured on vidoe fighting with a gym employee in recent memory. He also posted on social media about how many WWE Superstars use cocaine.

We will have to see if Velveteen Dream ever comes back to WWE. With #FireVelveteenDream trending every time he was on NXT during his last run, it might not be likely.
