KENTA is one of the most well-known Japanese pro wrestlers in recent memory. His WWE tenure ended up becoming a major failure after a series of injuries. While he is part of NJPW now, it appears KENTA stated that his match with CM Punk will never happen again.

CM Punk and KENTA know each other very well by now. CM Punk has openly admitted he stole the idea of the GTS finisher from KENTA as far back as 2012. Naturally, KENTA still has a lot of issues with Punk and it is unlikely to end anytime soon.

Sean Ross Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that AEW is planning for KENTA to work the Forbidden Door II event, where he will likely square off against The Second City Saint. KENTA demanded that AEW President Tony Khan pay him a lot of money to make the match happen.

CM Punk returned to AEW television during Collision this week and fans were excited to see him back. That said, KENTA took to Twitter and stated that his match with Punk will never happen.
