Samoa Joe is a highly skilled and accomplished professional wrestler, who has competed all over the world over the past couple of decades. His physically imposing presence has helped make him a star in any promotion he has been a part of. Joe will also be a part of AEW Collision and it appears he made it clear that he doesn’t think CM Punnk and The Elite’s issues are that deep.
As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, it was officially announced that CM Punk will be teaming up with FTR and squaring off against Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Samoa Joe in the main event of the debut episode of AEW Collision on June 17th.
This will mark CM Punk’s first AEW appearance since the All Out pay-per-view last year. A lot of drama between Punk and The Elite ensued after the event and the effects are still being felt even now.
While speaking to Dan Gartland of Sports Illustrated, Samoa Joe was asked about the divide between CM Punk and The Elite. Joe stated that he believes CM Punnk and The Elite’s issues are that deep.
This isn’t a divide, it’s an argument between men. All those dudes don’t represent the entire genre of their generation. They have their own issues and their own problems. I don’t think it’s that deep. They’re grown-ass men. They have disagreements, they can figure it out or not. That’s between them.
Punk also explained when his issues with The Elite started. Regardless, we will have to see how CM Punk will be booked once he returns this week on the debut episode of AEW Collision.
