AEW President Tony Khan is truly passionate about the business and runs the company to the best of his abilities. After all, Tony Khan simply wants what’s best for the company no matter what. That being said it appears Dutch Mantel claimed Tony Khan reached out to him a few months ago.

While speaking during a recent episode of his Story Time with Dutch Mantel podcast, shared some interesting details about a conversation he had with Tony Khan several months ago.

According to Mantel, Tony Khan reached out to him approximately six months ago to ask about his health. During their conversation, the AEW president apparently explored the possibility of Mantel taking on a role within the company. However, due to mobility issues, Mantel explained that he couldn’t physically fulfil a position within AEW.

“Tony Khan called me one time about six months ago and wanted to know how I was doing. I told him fine. I think he was kind of fishing around if I wanted to take any kind of role with AEW. Physically, I couldn’t do it because I have mobility problems, but virtually I could, but virtually only works and that position only works if people listen to you.”

We will have to wait and see whether Dutch Mantell will end up working in AEW somewhere down the line after his recent interaction with Tony Khan. Regardless, Khan has a lot of things to worry about, with AEW Collision’s debut episode set to take place tonight.
