WWE saw one of their former World Champions go out with an ankle injury when Kofi Kingston was taken out of action. Now, fans might have waited long enough for his return to the ring, because it seems that he is pretty much healed up at this point.
Kofi Kingston popped up in WWE’s advertisement for their upcoming trip to Germany. That was a bit of a surprise for fans who hadn’t heard anything about his return status yet.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Kofi Kingson’s injury situation is expected to be over soon. At this time, WWE is even advertising him for events, like we previously mentioned.
Kofi Kingston should be back shortly after undergoing ankle surgery, He is starting to be listed in advertising for shows, although the shows are still a few months away. Kingston & Woods will be put back together as a tag team on Raw most likely upon his return. Kingston said the surgery was to remove a bone chip and fix a ligament after McIntyre landed on his leg accidentally when doing a flip dive and the injury was such that it needed surgery.
Kingston said he’s ahead of schedule on the recovery and said he’s been in Orlando training for a return and things are looking good, so he said hopefully sooner than later he’ll be back in the ring
Xavier Woods has carried on as a singles competitor since Kofi Kingston was taken out of action. Sadly, Big E has not competed since his broken neck over a year ago. We will have to see if the New Day is ever fully reunited on television.
Kofi Kingston’s injury came at a terrible time, but hopefully, he will be able to make a return and have another long run in him. If anything, the New Day’s fans can’t wait to see him back on television.
