Carlito came back to WWE at Backlash, which was a huge treat for the Puerto Rican fans in attendance. That was a one-off, but no contract was signed. That being said, it seems that he is on his way back.

News recently broke that Carlito told promoters that he signed with WWE. That is why he pulled out of a gig.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s Paywall that Carlito also told a promoter in Lexington, Kentucky that he couldn’t do an agreed upon gig, and signing with WWE was the reason.

In addition to the previously announced date that Carlito withdrew from, he also pulled from a show in Lexington as well. We’ve confirmed that he and WWE have had talks of late. If hired, he’d be the first main roster hire of 2023.

Only time will tell what happens with Carlito in a second run with WWE. He could find himself in a great role, especially if he aligns himself with the LWO once again.
